3層オミックス参照パネル公開 ~生活習慣病・がん・うつなどの予防や治療に貢献可能~

生体情報解析部門の清水教授らは東北大学東北メディカル・メガバンク機構との共同で、エピゲノム(遺伝子修飾情報)の一つである全DNAメチル化情報の100人規模の高精度な解析に初めて成功し、その情報をゲノム(遺伝子情報)・トランスクリプトーム(遺伝子転写情報)と併せて3層のオミックス(網羅的生体分子情報)参照パネルとして公開しました。
DNAメチル化は生命活動に必要な仕組みの一つですが、様々な環境要因によって異常が生じ、生活習慣病・がん・うつなどの発症に関連することが明らかとなりつつあります。今回の参照パネルを活用することで、これらの疾患の誘因となる個人個人の遺伝子修飾と環境要因との関係をさらに明らかにし、新たな予防・診断・治療法の研究開発の促進につながることが期待できます。
