Iwate Medical University has launched Iwate Tohoku Medical Megabank Project which seeks to restore medical services following the disaster [the Great East Japan Earthquake and Tsunami of March 2011]. This Project plans to dispatch physicians and conduct health surveys primarily in coastal regions of Iwate and Miyagi Prefectures.
